Equipment

  1. Softballs

  1. Bat
  1. [A] [B] [C] - Not provided.
  2. [D] [E] - A couple of bats are provided to each team to use for the season.
  3. Legal Bats: Bats must meet the 2004 ASA Bat Performance Standard, bear the 2004 certification mark, and not be listed on the ASA non-approved bat list. Bats bearing the newer USA Softball Certified mark are legal.  Bats with the 2000 certification mark are ILLEGAL. Here is a link to the ASA web page with further information: shorturl.at/dizCP
  1. Batting Helmets
  1. All players, regardless of level, must have a cage (face guard) and chin strap.
  2. Any player on batting, on deck or running bases must wear a helmet at all times.
  1. Glove (size recommendations below)
  1. Ages 6 and under: 9”-10.5”
  2. Ages 7-10: 10.5”-11.25”
  3. Ages 11+: 11.25”-12”
  1. Fielding Masks
  1. [A] - Required for all positions except outfield.
  2. [B] [C] [D] [E] - Required for all positions INCLUDING outfield.
  3. Play will stop until they are worn or the player is removed from the field.
  1. Catcher’s Equipment
  1. [A] [B] [C] - Provided by DGIL as requested.
  2. [D] Provided by DGIL. Kept in totes in the shed and can be retrieved before games. Please return to the shed if you are the last D team in the dugout that night. Sanitizer wipes included in totes.
  1. Scorebook
  1. [A] [B] [C] - Each team is asked to keep a book in case of discrepancies in scores.
  2. [D] [E] - Not required. D needs to track up to five runs per inning.
