POLICY

Club Membership

Players must be members in good standing of the OFVC in order to participate in any and/or all team and club activities.  Membership in the OFVC shall be required on an annual basis.  The following membership categories shall apply:

Full Members

Player

Any individual, who is selected to an OFVC team, submits the required registration information and remits the annual membership fees as set out by the Club shall be deemed a full member.  

Coach

Any individual who is appointed as a coach to an OFVC team in accordance with the coach appointment policy and submits the required registration information shall be deemed a full member.  There are no annual fees for appointed coaches.

Elected Officer/Board Member

An individual who is duly elected to the Board in accordance with the applicable Club By-Laws and submits the required registration information shall be deemed a full member.  There are no annual fees for elected Board Members.

All Members are eligible to a vote at the Annual General Meeting or other special meetings.  For members under the age of majority, a parent or guardian, as per OFVC by-laws, may exercise a vote at the Annual General Meeting or other special meetings on their behalf.

Club membership may be revoked for any of the following reasons:

• A player leaving or being removed from a team for any reason other than a season-ending injury
• A coach leaving or being removed from his or her coaching position
• Resignation or removal of an elected Officer/Board member

Associates of the Club (without voting privileges)

• Volunteers and others interested in furthering the objectives of the Club.  
• Practice players, camp/clinic, developmental program participants and their parents or legal guardians

Associates of the Club (with voting privileges)

• Parents or legal guardians of duly registered OFVC players
