E21C WiFi-Enabled 2-Port DMX Gateway

KP Stage Solutions' E215C is a WiFi-Enabled 2-Port DMX Gateway. ArtNet, unicast sACN, and multicast sACN are supported simultaneously. This gateway is easy to introduce to your WiFi network with a Bluetooth Provisioning Smartphone App available for iOS and Android. A web interface allows universe, DMX, and IPv4 configuration.

WiFi Provisioning

A DHCP server is required in your WiFi network.[1]

If your E215C does not show similar to:

Press the reset button for 1 second with a paper clip or other small tool.

Install Espressif’s ESP BLE Provisioning App on your smartphone.

Follow the app’s instructions to identify your E215C and give the 6 digit POP code. Note that you do not have a QR code. You will need a WiFi SSID and password for an available WiFi network.

A WiFi-enabled E215C should show similar to:

Web Configuration

Point your browser to the IP address shown on your E215C:

WiFi Configuration

Give SSID and Password of the network to connect the next time the E215C is powered on.

Network Configuration

DHCP is preferable, but a static IP assignment is alternative.

DMX Configuration

For each port, assign universe and frame rate. Note some restrictions for ArtNet: universe number must be 0 to 32767, and E215C requires that both universes be in the same SubSwitch[2].

Console Interface

A USB-C connection inside E215C’s case provides a virtual serial terminal connection to console configuration. KP Stage Solutions discourages use of this interface. Contact info@kpstagesolutions.com for more information.

[1] WiFi provisioning and static IPv4 address assignment is possible via console interface, accessible by USB-C virtual serial terminal after opening the E215C case.
