*FIELD DAY NEEDS YOU!!

We are so excited to have our Field Day again this year on Friday May 5th! We need your help in making it the best Field Day ever! Our schedule will look like this:

PreK/Kinder/1st grades: 8:00-9:30, Champion Races 9:30-10:00

2nd/3rd grades: 10:05-11:35, Champion Races 11:35-12:05

4th/5th grades: 12:35-2:05, Champion Races 2:05-2:35

If you would like to come enjoy Field Day with your child on May 5th, you do NOT need to sign up to volunteer. However, you WILL need to bring your driver's license with you on Field Day and check in at the front office before you can join them.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We would love to have your help during Field Day if you are interested in volunteering for a Field Day station! If you would like to still enjoy Field Day with your child, please consider volunteering for a different time slot than theirs. For instance, if you have a 1st grader you'd like to watch during their Field Day, consider volunteering for the 2nd/3rd grade Field Day after that. ***We are always in need of more volunteers for 4th/5th grade Field Day, so please consider volunteering there if you are able!***

As a volunteer, you will also need to bring your ID to check in at the front office first.

BEFORE YOU SIGN UP for a volunteer position, please visit the RRISD Volunteer website to register to be an approved volunteer. It can take up to 5 days to be approved and you MUST be approved to volunteer on Field Day. Be on the lookout for an email from the district saying you are approved once you fill it out.

You can find the RRISD Volunteer website here.

Next, we are using Sign Up Genius again this year to volunteer for stations.

You can find the Sign Up Genius here.

The Sign Up Genius will close on Friday April 21st, so make sure you sign up before then!

More info to come as Field Day gets closer. Thank you for your help and assistance in making this another successful Field Day!

*It is imperative that students know their multiplication facts 0-10 with automaticity. Please have your child practice nightly. Please see the Third Grade website for links to multiplication practice resources.

*This is the time of year when we begin spiraling through and reviewing concepts introduced earlier in the year.

*Please make sure your child’s device is fully charged when they arrive at school in the morning. They should also bring their charger to school in the event they need to recharge during the day.

Reminders

*Don’t miss your chance to join PTA! You can do so online by visiting their website HERE.
