‘Tis The Season!
Westport Schools are proud to work with Westport’s Department of Human Services to help local families facing a difficult holiday season. A letter was sent home outlining the ‘Tis the Season program in more detail. We hope you took a look and will consider helping our neighbors in need. There are several options to choose from and many ways to help and make a difference.
Shop on Amazon online for specific items local families have requested by clicking here: SAUGATUCK 'TIS THE SEASON AMAZON LIST. We understand some of you had trouble accessing the link last week. We have updated it. If this continues, you can access the list by searching under "Saugatuck tis the season".
Shop in person for items you and your family think would be appreciated by a local family in need (new, unwrapped gifts can be placed in a collection box across from the main office).
Send a check payable to: DHS FAMILY PROGRAMS – memo: HOLIDAY
Purchase $25 gift cards from specifically requested stores: gas stations, Stop & Shop, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Target, Amazon, Marshall’s & Kohls. *Checks and gift cards can be sent in to the main office in an envelope marked ‘Tis the Season.
Make an online donation HERE.
For questions, contact Christy Charise (email@example.com) or Ali Stanley (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The SES Book Fair
In Harry Potter, the wand chooses the wizard. We choose YOU to volunteer for the enchanted SES Book Fair, which starts right after Thanksgiving break on Monday, Nov 26th!
Thanks already to all who’ve signed up; the slots are filling fast! Volunteers are needed for a range of jobs: help set up, decorate, advise kids about books, and more.
CLICK HERE for class visit schedules and plan to help during your child’s browsing time.

CLICK HERE to sign up to be SUPER VOLUNTEER (super volunteers ring up purchases).
If you can’t attend the fair with your child, you can PRE-PAY with Scholastic’s new e-wallet system, which is available now through the last day of the fair HERE.
Finally, mark your calendars for a new family event, the Enchanted Evening, on Thursday, November 29th from 5-7pm. The night will begin with donuts and cider in the courtyard, then move to a surprise reading at 5:30pm, followed by book browsing with the help of “reading wizards”. For questions, contact: Leila Shields, Michelle Barman, and Danielle Rossoni at email@example.com.
Lost and Found!
Feel like something is missing from your life? There’s a good chance it’s in the Lost and Found! We have so many items waiting to be claimed by their owners ... please take a moment to look through while you’re in school for your child’s conference. During conferences, the Lost and Found will be relocated from the cafeteria to a table outside of the main office.
