When tying a student's uniform, the outer lapel on the students right should come across first to be tied in a bow (please do not knot the ties, it's very hard for students to undo) with the "inside string" on the student's left side. Once secured, the outer lapel on the student's left side will come across to the right side to be tied in a bow with the right side's "inside string" which should be hanging by the student's right hip.
