Members of Girls Scout troop 953 are sponsoring a used school supply drive. We are asking students not to take their old school supplies home and throw them away, instead donate them to the drive. We are working with ScrapsKC, a non-profit organization, to keep the used supplies out of the landfill and back into the hands of underprivileged kids. We will accept all school supplies, even if pieces are missing. Boxes can be found by the front office and will remain until the end of school.
***Students with damaged or missing chromebooks/equipment will be fined according to the Chromebook Handbook agreement as shown below:

Looking for summer employment? Attached are flyers explaining opportunities for becoming a Census Taker. Applicants need to be 18 years old or older. If someone younger applies, the system will consider them ineligible. However, once their 18th birthday occurs, the system will automatically change their status to eligible. For example, if a 17-year-old has a birthday coming up in June, they can apply and then when they turn 18 in June, the system will consider them eligible to be called about work after that birthday. Contact Patricia Jameson, Recruiting Assistant U.S. Census Bureau for more info.
