Modern World History Fall Semester Research Paper

DIRECTIONS:

You will be conducting research on a historical figure.

You must determine whether or not that historical figure is historically significant.

This does not include when and where they were born….he/she lived we got it.

Somethings to consider when looking at if your person was historically significant or not:

1. What was his/her lasting impact? (only during his/her lifetime or far reaching into the future)

                Think big picture here.

2. Where they involved in a large historical force?

Think social, political, economic, geographical changes.

Each day you will complete a part of the process:

                Day 1: Secondary source research

                Day 2: Primary source research

Day 3: Begin writing your paper

Day 4: Finish writing your paper

Day 5: Peer editing, polishing, and creating your cover page

PAPER IS DUE BY THE END OF CLASS ON FRIDAY

You will turn it in to Canvas- if you have trouble with this I will need to know ASAP!!

At the end of each day you will get a grade for that portion…so if you do nothing each day….
