Using the Voice Recorder on Smartphones:

iPhone (iOS):

  1. Open Voice Memos App: Locate the Voice Memos app on your iPhone's home screen (it's a white icon with a red soundwave).
  2. Start Recording: Tap the red circle button at the bottom of the screen to start recording. You'll see a waveform on the screen indicating that recording is in progress.
  3. Stop Recording: To stop recording, tap the red button again. Your recording will automatically be saved with a timestamp.
  4. Listen to Recording: To listen to your recording, tap on the recording you just made in the list of recordings. You can play, pause, rewind, or fast forward using the playback controls.
  5. Share or Save Recording (Optional): If you want to share or save your recording, tap the "More" (three-dot) icon next to the recording. From there, you can choose options such as sharing via AirDrop, Messages, or Mail, or saving it to a cloud service like iCloud Drive.

Android:

  1. Open Voice Recorder App: Depending on your device, you may have a built-in voice recorder app or you may need to download one from the Google Play Store. Open the voice recorder app on your Android smartphone.
  2. Start Recording: Tap the "Record" button (often a red circle or similar icon) to start recording. You'll see a timer indicating that recording is in progress.
  3. Stop Recording: To stop recording, tap the "Stop" button (often a square or similar icon). Your recording will automatically be saved.
  4. Listen to Recording: To listen to your recording, find it in the list of recordings within the app. Tap on the recording to play it back. You can use the playback controls to play, pause, rewind, or fast forward.
  5. Share or Save Recording (Optional): If you want to share or save your recording, most voice recorder apps will have options to share via email, messaging apps, or save to cloud storage directly from within the app.
