11th Grade Parents,

You recently received information on the district wide assessment testing in English Language Arts for 11th grade students. All students in grade 11 will take this district assessment test. These online tests measure students’ ability in English language arts/literacy. The assessment is designed to measure critical thinking with questions that ask students to demonstrate their research, writing, and problem solving skills.

All juniors will test on November 7th and 9th from 7:10 - 9:10 in assigned classrooms.  Click the link for junior testing room assignments.  These are online test so students must bring their chromebooks charged and ready to go. Students will be required to stay in the classroom for the full testing block. Students should bring work to do or a book to read in case they finish early.

These assessment tests can benefit your student. This assessment test is very similar to the CAASPP tests we have in the spring. Students will have a good understanding of how the statewide test will look. The EAP (Early Assessment Program) is part of the CAASPP and will let students know how well prepared they are for college-level work in English and math. If students do well, they will not have to take the college placement exam. This can save students time and money. So being prepared for the statewide CAASPP testing is very important.
