General Cleaning Guide
General Cleaning Duties
____ Clean all windows & window tracks, built in wardrobes & tracks
____ Clean fly screens, dust light fittings and ensure all light globes are working
____ Vacuum/mop floors, remove marks on floors and skirting boards
____ Wash walls with attention to door handles, light switches
____ Top of cupboards – kitchen and bedrooms – to be clean.
Kitchen
____ Inside and outside of the cupboards
____ Stove, inside griller, drip trays and oven to be cleaned of grease
____ Exhaust fans and filters must be clean, sink shiny, walls clean and floors washed
Bathroom and Laundry
____ Floor and wall tiles, mirror and windows
____ Toilet, vanity, bath and shower
____ Shower curtain, washed and bleached or replaced
____ Grouting in shower and bathtub - throw out your used toilet brush!
____ Inside, outside and behind washing machine and dryer, rinse filter
Verandah/Deck/Gardens
____ Sweep and mop tiles, clean railings and any glass, remove cobwebs
____ Clean driveway, carports (all concrete to be removed of car oil)
____ Lawns, edges weeding and general tidy-up (no rubbish to be left behind)
Pets
If you signed your lease with a Pet Clause, you will need to arrange for professional pest exterminator to spray both internally and externally of the premises for fleas.
Carpet must be steam cleaned as per terms of the lease
Free rubbish removal is available via local Council, 14 days’ notice is needed
