Have a Nice Summer Letter 2022
Updated automatically every 5 minutes

Dear Franklin Elementary School Families,

Happy 4th of July Weekend! I hope that you have all had a nice start to your summer. Planning for the 2022-2023 school year is already underway. Classrooms have been cleaned, lockers painted, and floors waxed and polished. The building already looks great. Mrs. Roback’s grade 5 classroom has been moved downstairs, and Mrs. Savage’s classroom is now upstairs. I am very excited to announce that we have hired a new Physical Education/Health teacher, Miss Alexa Franchetti. A letter of introduction about her will be coming. We are still in the process of seeking a band teacher for next year.

Summer dates and things to do!

A summer reading list was sent home with your student with suggested reading appropriate for their age level from the Connecticut Governor's Summer Reading Challenge. A Summer Reading Journal is included on this website. Please remind your child to hand in the journal to their homeroom teacher in September to earn a cool treat at the PTO-sponsored Ice Cream Social!

We will continue to keep you updated over the summer with school news and events. You can also visit the FES school website to see our Event Calendar with updated postings. The summer office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8-12. Do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions.

On behalf of the Franklin Elementary School staff, I wish you all a restful and relaxing summer.

Sincerely,

Mr. Greg Keith
