Mesabi East High School Back to School Letter
Date: August 23, 2025
Dear Parents and Students of Grades 7-12,
Welcome to the new school year at Mesabi East High School! We are excited to start another academic year filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and achievement. Whether you are returning to our school or joining us for the first time, we are delighted to have you as part of our school community.
Academic Excellence
At Mesabi East High School, we are committed to providing a rigorous and comprehensive education to prepare our students for college and beyond. We are proud to offer numerous honors and advanced placement (AP) courses designed to challenge our students and help them reach their full potential. Our dedicated faculty is committed to supporting every student in achieving academic excellence.
In addition to our strong academic program, we are excited to offer eight different college-level courses in our College in the Schools Program here at Mesabi East. These new courses allow our students to earn college credits while still in high school, giving them a head start on their higher education journey. For more information on College in the Schools, please reach out to the Guidance Office at the high school.
Athletics and Activities
We believe that a well-rounded education includes opportunities for students to explore their interests and develop new skills outside the classroom. Please reach out to our Athletic Department for a list of athletic programs. At Mesabi East, we also have numerous activities and clubs. These programs provide students with the chance to build teamwork, leadership, and social skills, all while pursuing their passions. Please reach out to the high school office for more information.
