Scenario 5 for Elementary Students
Student attends at-home for learning for 5 days per week. This is the schedule for students choosing At-School Learning in an intermittent remote learning environment (such as a campus or school closure, personal illness or personal quarantine).

What Learning Looks Like
*Our commitment is to provide exceptional learning for each and every student. Teachers will
create lessons to be relevant, encourage critical thinking, be student-centered and provide
multiple opportunities for feedback.
*Teachers will personalize their connection with students and parents to support academic and social needs.
*Students will have teacher created assignments that follow the BISD curriculum to include activities in: Independent reading and writing reflection, math skills practice, social studies/science,PE and Music.
*Assignments will be designed to:
*Grading practices will be the same for students attending At-School or At-Home.
*Students will be provided a device to support student learning.
*Attendance is connected to students turning in assignments or daily connection with their teacher. More information coming soon.
What Support Can Parents Provide
*Create a space to minimize distractions and learning routines that provide work time and play time.
*Check in on their student’s daily learning.
*Engage in communication with your student’s teacher. Email or call the teacher when you have concerns. Teachers will establish virtual office hours to support communication with you and your student.
*Coming soon: Digital Hotspot for Parents - an online resource with support on using Seesaw or Google Classroom, and other additional resources.
