Community Guidelines for Our Retreat (Coming Home To Your Body, with Sarah Martyn, LMT, RYT-500)

This retreat is led through a trauma-informed and weight-neutral lens. To help us co-create a safe, supportive space, we ask everyone to agree to the following:

  1. Respect all bodies – We hold the belief that every body is inherently worthy of love, care, and respect, just as it is.
  2. Weight neutrality – Please refrain from discussing intentional weight loss, dieting, or attaching moral value to food (e.g., “good” vs. “bad,” “clean” vs. “junk”).
  3. Consent matters – Respect your own boundaries and the boundaries of others. Participation in any activity, including touch or sharing, is always optional.
  4. Confidentiality – What is shared in the group stays in the group. Please avoid sharing others’ personal experiences outside of our retreat space.
  5. Inclusive language – Speak in ways that honor varied experiences, identities, and backgrounds. Avoid making assumptions about others’ bodies, abilities, or histories.
  6. Self-care first – You are encouraged to rest, step away, or modify practices at any time. Listening to your body and needs is part of the retreat.
  7. Compassionate presence – We strive to listen without judgment, allow space for different perspectives, and communicate with kindness.
