Summer Reading - All summer reading tests must be completed by Sept. 6th. All multiple-choice exams can be found on the PA website. Tests should be completed during Academic Labs, Transition Labs or Open Campus. Any project-based assessment, for the community read book, must be turned into your English teacher no later than Sept. 6th. If you have any questions, ask Ms. Gelinas.

Auditions for Beauty and the Beast will be TOMORROW from 2:30-4:30! Sign up for an audition slot outside of 1143 (music room in the basement) ASAP to get your preferred time. If all the slots are filled, please add your name to the waitlist.

Yearbook - Find out what Yearbook is all about next Wednesday, 9/11 after school in room 1027.  All grades are welcome. Any questions before 9/11? Just ask Ms. Quesnell (MultiMedia Place in Library) or Mrs. Thompson (rm. 1027).

Trip to Japan - Interested in going to Japan during April vacation? Already signed up for the trip (yay)? We are going to have an informational meeting on September 10th at 2:30 in the auditorium. If you are interested and can't attend, make sure that you get in touch with Ms. Parkinson (in Blanchard House) for information. See you there!!!

Community Service Opportunities:

Jerry, our fantastic custodian needs your help.  After C lunch, all the cafeteria chairs need to be stacked back onto the tables.  Do you have an open campus or academic lab?  Help Jerry get the cafeteria chairs stacked.  You will receive community service hours and build upper body strength.  If interested, see Jerry at the end of C lunch.

Boy’s Varsity Soccer  played against Souhegan at home and scored 3 - 1.  The "Life of a Spartan" Pure Performance player was Nate Fries.  He scored his varsity goal for our first goal of the season in our first game. He also worked hard on the outside midfield and played smart. Next game is 9/7 at Kingswood.

Girl’s JV Field Hockey  played against Plymouth Regional at home and scored 0 - 3.  The "Life of a Spartan" Pure Performance players were Lilly Curtis and Lily Corbitt.  Lilly Curtis helped control the midfield and Lily Corbitt was strong in goal. Next game is 9/6 at Derryfield.

Boy’s Varsity Golf  played against Milford and scored 66 - 59. Nate Wood scored 17 points for the Spartans yesterday at Windham Country club. Other top scorers were Josh Gifford with 14 points and rookie Andrew Chiavaras scored 12 points. Great job Boys! Next game is 9/9 at Woodbridge Country Club.  

Co-ed Cross Country  participated in Sanborn Invitational at Sanborn.  The "Life of a Spartan" Pure Performance players were David Testerman and Charlotte Corbitt. Both second year runners lead the team to the finish. David’s time was 19:58 and Charlotte’s time was 23:19. Next meet is 9/8 at Mt. Washington.

Attention Pembroke Academy students! It's time for auditions to join the PA Dance Team! Put your best foot, moves and smile forward TOMORROW. Auditions open at 2:30pm in the gym. Judging begins at 4:00pm.

Our school Counseling Department will introduce a new drop-in college information night in the library, concurrent with Open House.  Please stop by the library if you have gaps in your student's schedule or are otherwise wanting to attend for more information on the college enrollment process.

Attention students who are interested in being a NH Scholar, you may pick up forms in Blanchard House and fill them out and return them to Mrs Aube in Blanchard House.
