FALL / WINTER / SPRING CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

Players hit for the entire 1 hour session each week. Hitters focus on swing mechanics through progressions involving dry swings, tee work, soft toss, front toss, machine work, and live batting practice thrown by MBA instructors. At MBA we use a wide variety of drills and hitting techniques that personally cater to the swing of each one of our students. Camp curriculum is dictated on how each player progresses through the program each week. All camps are small groups (4:1 player to coach ratio) which enables us to adjust camps to specific player needs. Players will be given drills and dry swing work to do on their own. We will breakdown video footage on all hitters. All players will receive individualized evaluations. All hitting camps are ran by our lead hitting instructors. MBA lead hitting instructors are comprised of former and current college players, pro players, and college/high school coaches.

Pitching camps primarily focus on proper throwing mechanics. Players will develop an understanding of  how to care for their arms through proper functional strength warm-ups, stretching, and throwing progressions. Each student will be coached to improve their mechanics starting with their own individual basic throwing motion and ending with their personalized pitching delivery off the mound. Pitching grips, arm strength, arm slot, command of fastball and offspeed pitches, mental strategy, etc. are all things that will be covered during your sessions. We will breakdown video footage on all pitchers. All players will receive individualized evaluations. All pitching camps are ran by our lead pitching instructors. MBA lead pitching instructors are comprised of former and current college players, pro players, and college/high school coaches.

Overall camps will focus on hitting for 30 minutes of each one-hour session. The other 30 minutes of each one-hour session will focus on defensive work that will vary from week to week. Varying topics include infield skills, outfield skills, throwing/pitching, baserunning drills, among other on field skills. We will breakdown video footage on all hitters. All hitters will receive individualized evaluations. Camp curriculum will be adjusted based on how campers progress through the program on a weekly basis. All overall camps are ran by our lead instructors. MBA lead instructors are comprised of former and current college players, pro players, and college/high school coaches.

The Live Batting Practice program is live hitting practice thrown by an MBA coach. This is a great way to get extra hitting repetitions. This is non-instructional program, however, coaches will give tips to hitters throughout each session. Player will take 100+ swings during their one-hour session each week as they rotate through MBA’s batting cages. The last 15 minutes of each session consists of a hitting game for players to compete and have some fun!
