Auditions for Maestro Singers' second semester will be held on Tuesday, January 14th beginning at 2:30pm in rm. 1147. People interested in auditioning should come prepared with a song to sing that shows off their range and musical abilities. Maestros rehearses every Tuesday 2:30-4:00pm. Feeling the end of semester pressure? Dance away your winter blues at PA's Snowball on Saturday January 18th from 7 to 10pm. Tickets are $5.00 in advance or $7 at the door. If you are bringing an out of school guest please return your form to Mrs. Berube by Wednesday January 15th. Sponsored by Class of 2021.

Upcoming Events:

Poetry Out Loud is Back! Past competitors and interested students should see Mrs. Ficken in room 1021 on Wednesday January 8th at 2:30 to begin choosing poems to compete in this year's recitation contest! There will be meetings every Wednesday from now until the contest on Thursday February 13th at 6pm in the library.

Sports:

Pembroke Academy Campbell hockey team overpowered Sanborn-Epping with a score of 9-2 at their game last Saturday. Pembroke’s MVP was Gage Dumas, who scored two of the nine goals and was a powerful force both offensive and defensively. Be sure to come watch the boys take on John Stark at Everett Arena this Wednesday at 3:30pm!

Alpine Ski Racing  competed and took 2nd place.  The "Life of a Spartan" Pure Performance players were Jessica Boyajian and Ben Sporcic.  Jessie placed 6th, with a combined time of 1:01.29, earning 95 points for Pembroke. Also scoring for Pembroke was Hannah Brown, Alyssa Merrill, Lauren Simmons and Grace Simmons. Ben placed 3rd with a combined two run total of 59.44, earning 98 points for Pembroke. Also scoring for Pembroke was Ryan Sporcic, Owen Thomas, and Jackson Frazier. Next game is 1/09 at Crotched Mountain.

Students who are interested in exploring health careers, Dartmouth College is presenting summer week long programs for high school students. For more information please see the Opportunities Board by Walker House or your school counselor.

Are you interested in learning how to develop a business plan? Would you like to grow your own food, work on a farm, hone your carpentry skills or learn how to prepare food for resale? Pembroke Academy is offering a semester long internship program in partnership with Lavalley Farms.

Also available is a Partial Lavalley Internship where you can earn either community service hours or credits.
