SPRING SPORTS SAMPLER

TINY TEE SLUGGERS

This is an introduction to America’s Favorite Pastime. This program is designed to introduce the skills and fundamentals of baseball and softball such as base running, hitting, throwing, and fielding. Each player receives a hat and t-shirt.

July 8th is a Tball Family Night Out & Team Photos. This will take place at Chuck Hall Memorial Field from 5-7:30pm. There will be food and drink available and a special appearance by Maynard the Mallard! A fun night for our Tiny Tee Sluggers and families!

BASEBALL & SOFTBALL WINTER ALL SKILLS CAMPS

These baseball & softball skill-building camps are designed to help players strengthen their fundamentals and elevate their game. Campers can choose from specialized sessions focusing on catching, all-around skills, beginner pitching, or advanced pitching. Participants will receive hands-on instruction in essential techniques—such as stance, receiving, blocking, hitting, bunting, fielding, throwing, grip, windup, and arm action—while older pitchers will also be introduced to advanced pitches like changeups and curveballs. Each camp features fast-paced drills, personalized coaching, and engaging activities that build confidence, improve mechanics, and support players at every level.

CURLING: INTRODUCTORY CLINIC
This 3 hour, fun filled clinic will teach the foundations and strategies of curling. You will practice, learn, and play games!

FLAG FOOTBALL
We’re partnering with Sauk Prairie High School Football for our Spring Flag Football season. The program provides a strong foundation in football fundamentals, including passing, catching, route running, and defensive skills, all in a non-contact format. Our goal is to create an engaging, instructional environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and a love for the game while preparing interested players for future football opportunities.

The season will begin with a preseason kickoff day located at the high school stadium from 3-4:30pm on Saturday, April 4th where players will get to work with high school youth football players in different stations and mini games.

Games will be on Saturdays from 1-4pm starting April 11th and go through May 9th at Culver Community Park. May 16th will be a rain makeup day if needed.

Practices will be on Wednesdays at Culver Community Park from 5-6pm beginning on April 8th and going through May 6th.

Volunteer coaches are highly recommended for this program to run.

In the Mad Scientists Training Academy with Youth Enrichment League you won’t just learn science…you’ll DO science. CPR/AED/FIRST AID TRAINING 
This blended learning course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults and or children. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA, workplace or other regulatory requirements.

This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile, desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the Instructor-led skills session. A link to the online training will be provided approximately two weeks before the in-person date. Allow approximately 2 - 5 hours for the online portion.

Upon successful completion, a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

WALKING IN SCHOOL DISTRICT BUILDINGS
Open walking at school district buildings is available in the winter months. The High School is not open for walking during summer and fall.
Open walking is allowed in school buildings during scheduled times. Walking is not available on days when school is canceled due to weather conditions. Walking is also only available during the school year when school is in session. Walking is available at the Community Center most weekdays from 7:35 - Noon and at the High School in the evening on scheduled dates from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Please note that other activities may be taking place at the same time as the open walking hours. YOGA: CHAIR YOGA WITH PRAIRIE FIRE YOGA

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced while seated in a chair or using a chair for support. This class is designed to improve flexibility, strength, and balance, all while promoting relaxation, stress relief, and mindfulness. Participants will learn a variety of yoga poses and breathing techniques that can be done easily and safely from a seated position. This class is suitable for all levels of fitness and mobility, making it accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities. OWL PROWL HIKE AT DEVIL'S LAKE STATE PARK

Dusk in February is a perfect time to go in search of owls. Join the Devil's Lake naturalist on a hike through Steinke Basin to listen for owls and other sounds of the night. You’ll need to bring a flashlight and wear shoes or boots that will keep your feet warm. Wear layers so you’ll stay warm when we stop to call/listen for owls. This program is best for kids 10 and up and adults. We ask you leave your dogs at home for this hike. Meet in the Steinke Basin parking lot.

This game is scheduled for the Sunday (May 24, 2026) of Labor Day weekend. Whether you make it a weekend in Milwaukee or go for just the day, you will have great seats for one of the marquee games of the season. First pitch is set for 1:10 p.m.

TYROL BASIN SNOW TUBING

It is the Sauk Prairie night at Tyrol Basin’s snow tubing hill! Bring the family and enjoy a giggle-inducing winter activity. Sauk Prairie Recreation Department is buying group tickets for the community at a discounted price. The ticket is good from 5-9pm on Friday January 23rd. No transportation is provided, so stay the whole time or come for a couple of hours! There is no age minimum to tube, but everyone tubing needs a ticket no matter the age.

AQUA GROOVE MARCH 

Make waves with a workout that challenges your body and lifts your spirits. At Aqua Groove, we rotate through styles like HIIT, intervals, and circuits, blending them into a smooth, energizing routine. Equipment is used to add resistance and variety. Each class begins with a gentle warm-up, moves into 30 minutes of focused cardio, and ends with a calming stretch. Ideal for participants comfortable with mid to high activity levels.

AQUA ZUMBA: MARCH

Aqua Zumba® combines some of the traditional elements of aqua fitness classes (such as jumping jacks and cross-country skiing) with the upbeat, Latin-infused dance moves and music Zumba® fitness is famous for. It's a workout party in the pool!

SWIM LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS

• Anyone entering the facility must pay the daily drop-in fee or have a current annual pass/punch card. This includes patrons who will not be swimming.
• All patrons are asked to shower before entering the pool area.
• No running.
• Anyone swimming in water over chest deep needs to pass the swim test. (Starting in the deep water, the patron must swim freestyle, arms out of the water, half the length of the pool, tread water for 30 seconds, and finish the length swimming freestyle, arms out of the water.
• Lap lanes are for swim test patrons or lap swimming only.
• Swimmers must stay off the lane lines unless they are in trouble and use them to get to safety.
• No diving in areas less than 6 feet deep. (Dive well only at the outdoor pool and deep end only at the indoor pool.)
• One person is allowed on the diving board/jump box at a time. Swimmers need to jump forward and swim to the ladder/away from the front of the jump box area before the next person can jump.
• No using the blocks outside of team practices, swim meets, or swim lessons.
• Swimmers are not allowed to hold their breath during underwater swim contests.
• No horseplay, i.e., chicken fights, dunking, heavy splashing, etc.
• No glass containers are allowed on the pool deck.
• Jumping in is allowed from the deck as long as the swimmer is jumping face forward and feet first in an area where there are no other swimmers in the water. At the outdoor pool, we ask swimmers to jump out of designated boxes.
• Swim diapers are required for non-toilet-trained swimmers. Diaper changing is not allowed on the pool deck.
• Pool toys are allowed to be used during open swims as long as they do not pose a threat to other swimmers.
• Mermaid tails and fins will be allowed in less busy areas of the pool or during designated swim times. Swimmers must pass a swim test to use the tails.
• No rafts or large floatation devices are allowed during open swims. (Special event nights will allow use)
• If a swimmer needs additional floatation, i.e. swim belt or life jacket, that swimmer must be accompanied by an adult within arm's reach and stay in an area of the pool where he/she can touch.
• No alcohol or tobacco use is allowed on school district property.
• No inappropriate physical contact or activity. Sauk Prairie Pools are public/family facilities.
• Phones or other picture-taking devices are not allowed in the locker rooms or bathrooms

PRESCHOOL

Sauk Prairie Community Education offers preschool for 3-4 year-old children under the direction of a licensed teacher.  In order to attend Preschool for the 206-27 school year, students must be age 3 by September 1, 2026, and toilet trained.

We Offer Two Options for Preschool

Three Day Preschool (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)

Two Day Preschool (Tuesday/Thursday)

AFTERSCHOOL CLUB (ASC)

Afterschool Club (ASC) provides before school, after school and summer childcare for students 4K-Grade 5. ASC follows the Sauk Prairie School District calendar and is not available on days when school is not in session.

We provide an inclusive space where all students can feel welcomed and secure. This environment fosters opportunities for children to forge new friendships, explore diverse hobbies, and receive daily encouragement.

2026 SUMMER PROGRAM

Afterschool Club Summer Program is designed to provide care for students during the summer months and the schedule changes during the 6-week Summer School schedule.  Summer camp offers more off-site opportunities for students as well as some special programming on-site.

There is limited availability for ASC Summer Camp as priority is given to students who participate in ASC during the school year and to students enrolled in ASC Summer Camp in 2025. Stay tuned for registration information.

Afterschool Summer Program Registration priority registration will open on February 16 at 10:00 a.m. Registration will open to the general public on March 2 at 10:00 a.m.

ASC SCHOOL YEAR

During the school year, ASC  provides child care for students 4K-Grade 5 on school days at the school the child attends.  Hours are after school until 5:45 Monday-Friday.

Afterschool Club follows the Sauk Prairie School District calendar and is not available on days when school is not in session.

AFTERSCHOOL CLUB SCHOOL 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR FEES

School year fees are divided into nine equally monthly payments.  Rates listed below are  for the 2025-26 school year.

ASC 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR REGISTRATION

Registration for After School Club and Before School care for the 2026-27 school year will open on Monday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m.  You must have an account for both you and your child to register.  A non-refundable $35 is due at the time of registration. Monthly fees are TBD.

Priority registration is given to families who already enrolled in Afterschool Club.

BEFORE SCHOOL CLUB (BSC)

Before School Club is intended to provide before school childcare for 4K-Grade 5 age students. Before School Club is held at Bridges Elementary School from 6:15 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.

Before School Club participants attending Bridges Elementary will follow the school routine for students arriving at 7:30 a.m. Participants attending Grand Ave School will be bussed to school at 7:30 a.m.

The Before School care rate for the 2025--26 school year is TBD.
