Role Overview
A Summer Junior Volunteer is responsible for coaching and mentoring young people to become positive role models and active golfers by delivering daily life skills and golf instruction in a safe, fun, and engaging camp setting. As a volunteer with First Tee - Northwest Arkansas, you'll be part of a dedicated community committed to helping young people build character and achieve their full potential through the game of golf. We provide a welcoming and supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and teens.
First Tee — Northwest Arkansas seeks self-motivated high-school students, who can work independently and as part of a team, supervise others, and help young people learn. The best candidates will need the ability to communicate and work with youth and effectively instruct those students in a fun, activity-based environment.

Training and Support
We provide all Junior Volunteers with orientation, training, and ongoing support to ensure they feel confident and prepared in their role. Selected Junior Volunteers must complete at least 30 hours of Summer Program Volunteer work between June 9, 2025, and August 7, 2025, to receive a waived Youth Membership Fee ($100) for one calendar year. Junior volunteers must be 14+ years of age. Students wishing to become Summer Junior Volunteers must email a letter of interest to madison@firstteenwa.org by May 1, 2025.
