Yearly Summary |
All grades (K-2) met or exceeded targets for students scoring above the 40th percentile overall on MAP for math. Both Kindergarten and 2nd grade exceeded the target for students scoring above the 40th percentile in Operations and Algebraic Thinking, while 1st grade only missed the same target by 3%. When compared to last year, the data also reflects a significant increase in the percentage of ED students maintaining growth on MAP for math as well as an increased Norm RIT for this school year for each grade level (K-2). Furthermore, the data indicates the percentage of students maintaining or meeting growth from Fall to Spring is an area of improvement as those targets were not met in 1st and 2nd grade. |
Next Steps |
This year’s data reflects a need for continued professional learning in the area of Cognitively Guided Instruction. Teachers will also require professional learning in the implementation of new math standards. |
GOAL 1 | By the end of the 2021-2022 school year, 70% of all students will be reading on grade level as measured by Next Steps Guided Reading Assessment. | ||||

Yearly Summary |
Second grade exceeded the target for students scoring above the 40th percentile overall on MAP for reading. Both Kindergarten and 1st grade only missed this same target by 1%. Kindergarten and 2nd grade also met or exceeded the targets for students maintaining growth on MAP reading from Fall to Spring. When compared to last year, the data also reflects an increased Norm RIT for this school year for each grade level (K-2) as well as a significant increase in the percentage of ED students maintaining growth on MAP for reading. Furthermore, the data suggests the percentage of students maintaining or meeting growth from Fall to Spring is an area of improvement as those targets were not met in 1st grade or in EIP for grades K-2. Other areas for growth include the percentage of students in grades K-2 meeting benchmarks for reading as designated by a reading level. This decrease is likely a result of intentional and ongoing professional learning on using the Next Steps for Guided Reading Assessment to improve inter-rater reliability. |
Next Steps |
The data indicates a need for continued professional learning in Guided Reading to align practices in grades K-2. In addition, staff will begin the implementation of Fundations for Grades PK-1 as well as a strengthened phonics approach for 2nd grade. These endeavors will be supported through professional learning with Mrs. Amy Trawick from RESA. Strengthening community preschool partnerships will also be a priority as they will also be implementing Fundations. |

Yearly Summary |
Personnel surveys reflect a positive school climate for both certified and classified employees. Comments from surveys highlight communication from administration including Facebook Live, community involvement with monthly equipment on the lawn, school unity opportunities such as Wear It Wednesday, and staff family events. In the area of discipline, the data shows an increase in both school and bus referrals which indicates a need to refocus PBIS practices as some of these opportunities have been limited due to Covid. |
Next Steps |
Building a positive school climate within the staff and community will continue to be a priority and PBIS practices will be refined. |
