One week ago today, the Philemon Cadet Falcons Football Team played in the Division 3 Championship game at Carrefour. The team was down 13-0 early, but with their "No Quit" team philosophy, the group battled back under great leadership and play from Offensive Quarterback pivot Johnny Thompson and Running Back Keenan Layer. Mid-Way through the game Alex Dennis had a big 30 yard run and Wade Roos had a big reception for touchdown to put the team up 21-19. With under two minutes to go, Evan Bellaar-Spruyt stepped up for the Defence with a game saving tackle at the one yard line, followed by a sack in the RedZone. However, the man of the hour was Defensive captain Eli Nesrallah who had a forced fumble, an interception, and blocked what would have been the game winning Carrefour field goal to secure the win for YOUR FALCONS all in the second half! Congratulations to the whole team on an impressive hard working season and No-Quit attitude.
