- Eligible to be featured in a volunteer spotlight as part of our social media at completion of project or 6-month mark
What You’ll Do
- Develop social-first content (graphics, short videos, stories, carousels) that makes complex topics like therapy access and insurance understandable and engaging.
- Repurpose blog posts, educational resources, and partner content into digestible formats designed for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other key platforms.
- Spotlight awareness days, community events, and lived experiences through timely, authentic posts that resonate with our audience.
- Use creative tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express to design scroll-stopping visuals and motion graphics.

- Track and share basic performance insights (engagement rates, reach, shares) to inform future content direction.
You Would Be a Great Fit for This Role If:
- You have 1–2 years of experience (or strong interest) in social media management, content creation, or digital storytelling.
- You’re comfortable using design and video tools to make professional-looking content quickly.
- You’re passionate about mental health and motivated to use your creativity for impact.
- You are a self-starter and are able to pitch ideas, meet deadlines, and work independently while staying aligned with team goals.
You Will Stand Out If:

- You’re familiar with emerging content formats and trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
- You bring fresh, culturally fluent ideas for how nonprofits can connect authentically with diverse communities online
- You can demonstrate your experience leading new marketing initiatives within established or startup organizations

More Background on Healwise
Founded and operated by psychology clinicians, academics, and experts, we understand the system because we’ve been a part of it. We’ve seen those waitlists, talked to those help-seekers, and have been frustrated by our inability to do more. The more we’ve seen, the more strongly we feel: this system isn’t working.
This is why we exist: to uncomplicate the mental health system by building a single platform to connect help-seekers with a wide range of mental healthcare options, from traditional therapy to self-guided services.
Through our services platform, we’re connecting help-seekers with affordable, accessible care. And through our educational resources, we’re demystifying the mental health system, giving people the information, insight, and knowledge they need to make their therapy journey a successful one.
We are a small, all-volunteer team of people around the country passionate about mental health equity. We’re assembling a team of like-minded professionals who will help us realize our vision and fulfill our mission.
