I am presently a 4th year Architecture Student studying at Norwich University, Vermont as well as a frequenter at their school in Berlin, Germany. Aside from architecture—aforementioned—I am a multi-faceted artist and technician, with a deep curiosity to exist in an interdisciplinary life, honing both the logical and abstract essence of life; a panoply of my work consists of stitching these all into a synergistic, cohesive/holistic paradigm to achieve the highest quality principles and awareness... The work consists of, but is not limited to, sedulous design/model-making, oneiric and avant-garde apparatuses, and complex feats of 3D modeling/procedural operations.
There is an overarching study into the ways of pushing boundaries to what we consider design and analysis of our tendencies of thought; attempting to wrap our heads around the meta-network which every design truly in inextricably tethered to. Moreover, functions become deeply convoluted as a subsequent “Why?” is asked—I consistently make effort to ask: “How does design become a component to reinforcing and refining our consciousness? Or does it do the opposite?” What can we do in our designs which will push cognition and consciousness through to higher quality or higher breadth rather than diluting or off-loading our experience on this plane? Our present reality is riddled with hypnotic interfaces which partition off our own innate abilities and capacity and give them off to machines which most blindly trust to perform and act for them—what does this do to the human spirit? How does this tarnish our experience and lives down the road? What are the true ramifications of design? How do we consciously make good design with all of this in mind; what is good design?
Norwich University School of Architecture + Art — Northfield, VT. August 2022 – Present
Forth-year architecture student working towards a four-year Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies (pre-professional) along with a 18-month Master of Architecture program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (first professional, 2026-2027) and, overall aiming for a comprehensive understanding of design competence across all domains with a background disciplined by architectural, historical knowledge, hands-on building, art projects and artistic-exhibit planning.
In recent times, I have been invested in GIS-based data (i.e., how we can develop high-quality mapping through open-sourced and procedural means); as well as projects which extend outside of just the classroom and have real-life applicability. Specifically, an on-going project, with a real client, where we have been tasked, as a class, to cooperate as a firm and design affordable housing units with modularity, sustainability and efficiency embedded into the logic. My roles within the group have been Project Manager during the Schematic Phase, and Modular Design Leader during the Design Development Phase…
CityLAB:Berlin, Norwich University’s Satellite School — Berlin, Germany. August 2024 – June ’25
Third year of architecture school spent studying abroad at Norwich University’s Sister School, CityLAB:Berlin in Berlin, Germany. Our cohort have traveled to the likes of Vicenza, Venice, and Rome to further architectural study/understanding by interfacing within the roots/parents of design, i.e. the initial non-deviated purposes; the raw format of where modern architecture was formed.
Throughout the semesters there I had contributed extra-curricularly to the studio through the help of poster design and some other graphical help; during the summer, after my two semesters abroad w/ the satellite school, I was offered to have my stay extended to help a long-awaited desire of theirs to redesign their school branding.
AWARDS/NOMINATIONS
EMPLOYMENT:
Craftsman’s/carpenter’s apprentice during summers and college breaks. Work involves CAD and carpentry skills for historical preservation/renovation projects (re: predate Civil War), custom home design & building, remodeling, design/fabricate custom kitchen cabinetry & furniture, electrical skills (re: Starlink wire/install, setting floor heat, wiring outlets/GFCI’s, lighting, conduit to transformers) and plumbing rough-in work. My commitment to craftsmanship, quality and diverse knowledge in the trades has been a rewarding journey.
The opportunity to work at a firm during high school stemmed from the admittance into the technical high school back in my 11th-grade year—I was prompted with the County Board of Education’s relevant apprenticeship programs, and was granted my entire senior year of accreditation to be merited from within the setting of an architecture firm.
Responsibilities
Founder and Creative Director of Solar Garden Studios (an in-progress inchoate studio/firm). Presently, my concept for this entity is revolving within a holistic philosophy applied to a clothing design medium — mapped to outdoor-adventure wear; dedicated of the concept of cultivating a deep, introspective approach to exploring life/human experience; “Exploration-based Healing” - Solar Garden.
Applying my adeptness in print-making, I established a week-long summer course in teaching the medium to home-schooled students, specifically, to a cousin with ASD — the pursuit of this is to eventually teach the medium within week-long courses to various summers camps and schools as an accompaniment to Solar Garden Studios and the practices within the developing firm.
