How to Import a Morgan State Course or Organization Template from the Canvas Commons
About the Templates
- Morgan State Course Template: This is our full course template, which includes a Home Page, Begin Here Module and a Sample Content Module. This template is appropriate for all Morgan courses, whether Face to Face, Online, or ‘Remote”
Anyone creating a fully online course should use this template!
- Stand-Alone Module Templates:
- “Welcome” Module: Includes Course Overview, Grading Policy, About your Instructor, Course Question Board (discussion), Canvas Help Resources for Students. This module is already included in the Morgan State Course Template (see above),
- Syllabus Template: A syllabus template file you are welcome to import into any course.
How to Import a Template from the Commons
Log into Canvas
Access the Commons from the (blue) Global Navigation menu!
Click on the name of the template or resource you would like to use.
View the template elements, click "Import/Download"
Select your course or courses, and click the IMPORT button. The template will now be added to the courses you have selected.
Go back to your Dashboard, open your course. The template will be there. If not RELOAD or REFRESH your browser, it can take a few minutes for the template to arrive.
