Rolesville High School Families,

First, know that students are safe.

I wanted to let you know about two separate incidents that occurred this morning.

Earlier today, an adult physically confronted a student in the student parking lot during morning arrival. The adult involved left campus before school administrators or law enforcement were made aware.

Law enforcement quickly identified the individual and are taking appropriate action. We are aware that some students may have recorded video of the incident, and we encourage families to speak with their students about the responsible use of social media during sensitive situations.

Later this morning, a separate and unrelated altercation occurred between students on the fourth floor. Despite multiple directives to stop the physical confrontation, the students continued to engage. As a last resort, law enforcement deployed pepper spray to safely intervene.

The students received immediate attention from school personnel, and appropriate disciplinary actions are being taken in accordance with WCPSS policies.

We recognize that events like these can be upsetting. Our counseling team is available to speak with any student who may need support. Please encourage your child to reach out to a trusted adult on campus if they have questions or concerns.
