How to configure Google SAML 2.0 for eLeaP SSO

Custom Attributes

Initially, you will need to create a custom attribute ‘subdomain’ for users

Admin > Users

  1. From your Admin, click [Directory->Users]
  2. Then, from the [More options] dropdown, select [Manage custom attributes]

Add Custom Attribute

Then click Add Custom Attribute

‘subdomain’ attribute details

Fill custom ‘subdomain’ attribute details:

Category → Company

Name → Subdomain

Info Type → Text

Visibility → Visible to organization

No. of values → Single Value

 Click [ADD] to continue

You should now see your created custom attribute as shown:

Custom SAML App

Admin > Web and mobile apps

  1. From your Admin, click [Apps → Web and mobile apps]
  2. Then, from [Add app] dropdown, select [Add custom SAML app]

 

Then follow the on-page instructions to add your eLeaP application

Metadata XML

Download the metadata file and rename it with your company subdomain name. Click [Continue].

Service provider details

ACS URL

https://2leap.com/sso/simplesamlphp/public/module.php/saml/sp/saml2-acs.php/eleap

Entity ID

https://2leap.com/sso/simplesamlphp/public/module.php/saml/sp/metadata.php/eleap

Start URL

https://2leap.com/sso/index.php?saml_sso=eleap

VERY IMPORTANT: At the end of the URL, instead of "eleap”, change it to ‘youraccountdomain’ and then email us (support@eleapsoftware.com with the metadata xml file

For example,  https://2leap.com/sso/simplesamlphp/public/module.php/saml/sp/saml2-acs.php/youraccountdomain

Attribute mapping

Next, set up your attributes: Click [ADD MAPPING]


Primary email → email

Subdomain → subdomain

Finally, click [FINISH]

If everything is set up right, it will look something like this:

Add/Assign Users

  1. Go to Directory → Users
  2. Click ‘Add new user’ to create new users for your workspace

 


User’s custom attribute:

You will need to add your ‘subdomain’ name to your user’s Subdomain custom attribute value

Assign Users to the eLeaP App

Go to your app page, and click the down arrow in the User access section (section expands)

Service status:

Choose to give access to everyone in your workspace or to specific users. After making your changes, click SAVE.

 

Testing SSO

To test the SSO login, click TEST SAML LOGIN (make sure the currently logged-in user is also a user in your eLeaP instance).

Once logged in, user can click their eLeaP app to be logged into the app.

Important: Users' emails should be in the company account in the eLeaP LMS to log in!
