Introduction to A Bridge to Success

A Bridge to Success was developed to support students with special needs build critical academic, vocational and life skills in the classroom, at home, and in the community, through engaging, structured activities they can access on any device.

A Bridge to Success is a rapidly growing, research-validated library of learning activities for special education programs designed to achieve essential learning outcomes and greater student independence in any learning environment. Students access activities on any device, including computers, Chromebooks, tablets, and phones. Each bridge activity consists of a set of tasks, and defines the steps to complete each one and the multimodal work products (e.g. text, audio, video) they create at each step.

Teachers know their students best and can copy and modify Scoutlier activities, by breaking them up into smaller activities, adding their favorite resources, adjusting the number and types of responses. Teachers can track their students’ progress in real-time, review, and grade completed work, and create and download student work products and portfolios.

The current activities focus on supporting the students’ transition to an independent life outside of school.
