Call for Artists: AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase at CTAC


A call for artists is open now through Monday, March 4, for the American Impressionist Society’s third annual “AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase” at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey. This 2019 summer exhibition will run from Saturday, June 1 through Saturday, August 31.


All submissions must be oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, or gouache, and submitted by current American Impressionist Society (AIS) members. AIS Master Camille Przewodek will serve as Judge of Awards, awarding numerous prizes, including the $4,000 Best of Show.


The “AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase” opening reception takes  place on Saturday, June 8 at Crooked Tree Arts Center. Corresponding summer programming includes lectures, special events, artist demos, workshops by AIS members and nationally known artists, and art activities geared toward families.


AIS membership is open to legal U.S. resident artists, U.S. citizens living abroad, and anyone who wishes to support American Impressionism. With this exhibition, CTAC hopes local and regional artists will join the AIS and apply to the call.
