6)     Notices of Motion –

a) Committee seeks approval of the new Constitution developed by Peter K in order to comply with the new Incorporated Societies Act 2022.  This is written specifically to guidelines in the “Constitution Builder” and so does comply with the Act.  This is attached.  Please read or at least skim it. Any amendment will need to be justified in terms of compliance. Circulated.

Discussed the need for this and that it is so long to comply fully with the new Act, even bits not needed.  PK discussed some small changes to suit ASRAS. Moved PK 2nd AL.  Passed

b) Following this Committee moved that ASRA apply for re-registration as required under the Act for continued operation.  Moved MN 2nd RP. Passed

7)     Notices of Motion –  None received other than above.

10)   Any other business.

Clevedon report. Still a bit uncertain and we are in the hands of CRC.  Roadworks a big improvement.  Can we get in more shoots in May?

Calendar. New calendar published – Howick starting on 18th and 3 shoots at DA range in forest  as before.

Discussed multi-gun matches and some different shoots at the DA only 100 m

Support from ASRA for members going to South Africa and Australia this year. Two from ASRA going to SA, and ASRA to contribute $250 each, noting there will be some support from NZSRA too. SSAA Nats in South Australia.  Good support by Aussies but little enthusiasm here.

Also discussed – Promotion of ASRA and SR.  Jordan G will look at a Facebook publicity go.  Maybe a new shooters event in new Clevedon year?
