Dear Greenburgh Community:
Thank you to the more than 300 people who came together at WMHS this week to help kick off the summer with our third annual Night of Summer Fun. Families enjoyed a wide range of activities from beach ball decorating to bracelet making, kickball to Twister. Please take a look at our website and social media accounts for more information and many photos that capture the joy of the celebration. I also want to thank the community partners and volunteers who helped make the event even more special: The Greenburgh Public Library, PTA Council, the Woodlands Booster Club, and the GCSD Wellness Committee.
In collaboration with the Community Engagement Committee, I am excited to host a Superintendent’s Dessert and Year End Progress on Monday, June 23, 2025 to review the District’s progress in meeting the goals of the Strategic Plan. The event will take place at the Woodlands Middle High School Auditorium from 7 to 8 p.m. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by June 20, 2025 via phone (914-761-6000 x3103) or email (ikraus@greenburghcsd.org).
Next, the Greenburgh Central School District Board of Education is starting to plan for next year's goals and wants your feedback. Please take a few minutes to share how your child's experience has been—what’s going well and what we can do better. If you have more than one child in the Greenburgh Central School District, please fill out the survey once for each child.
As a reminder, the Board members are elected volunteers, committed to serving the school district. Our responsibilities include:
- Providing a shared vision and direction for the district
- Ensuring accountability and results
- Developing a responsible budget and aligning resources
- Supporting a healthy, positive district culture

Finally, please be aware that all students in grades 7 through 11 will retain their GCSD-issued Chromebooks over the summer break and are welcome to use them for educational enrichment, research, or personal learning. For Summer School Students, devices must be brought to and from school each day, fully charged and ready for use. Students must bring the Chromebook back to school on the first day, fully charged and ready to go. For All Other Students, Chromebooks should be stored in a safe, dry place when not in use. They are also to be brought back to school on the first day, fully charged and ready to go.
If your child experiences any technical issues during the summer, please submit a Help Desk Ticket here. Please also note that the 2024-25 Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) about appropriate device usage remains in effect throughout July and August 2025.
Please note that the entire District is closed on Thursday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth. I want to wish all fathers and father figures a very Happy Father’s Day, and hope that the entire community enjoys a wonderful weekend.
