The Wyckoff Summer Academies

2021

Learning continues this July! Wyckoff Summer Academies will now be offered as an in-person experience for all Wyckoff School district students. Come and explore engaging, creative, and academic classes that motivate and inspire students to continue learning in a fun environment!

How Does it Work?

The Wyckoff Summer Academies is a program designed for children entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. Please select classes based on your child’s grade in September 2021.  This program is exclusive this year for Wyckoff district students to register for classes. This year, due to challenges created by the pandemic, the program will run at no cost to our families.

Classes are offered in 2-week sessions. Classes are 45 minutes. At this time families may indicate classes for each period they are interested in attending. All class selections must be submitted by Friday, March 26.  Students do not need to attend the full day. Students may come for only the periods they are signed up for.

Session 1: July 6 - July 16

Session 2: July 19 - July 30

Where Will it Take Place?

Updated = George Washington Elementary School, 270 Woodland Avenue Wyckoff, NJ 07481

Who Teaches the Classes?

Classes are taught by certified teachers. Each teacher has designed classes based on his/her individual creativity, special interests, talent, and abilities.

What are the Class Enrollment Requirements?

Enrollment is limited to no more than 20 students per class to ensure social distancing and high levels of participation and interaction for each child.  Each class must have a minimum of five students to run. In the case of low enrollment similar classes may be combined.

Who Can Register?

Any Wyckoff district enrolled child entering Kindergarten to 8th grade can register for classes.  We are not accepting non-district students this year.

  • Class selection is now closed.

How will schedules be created?

Summer Academies will create schedules for individuals based on the choices submitted. The number of classes available per student will be determined by the number of registrants and class selections. Families will receive Summer Academies class schedules with details for students the week of April 12.

Cancellation Policy:  Our decision to run sections of classes depends on your selections. Please do not register for classes unless you are certain your student will be taking the class. Thank you for your consideration.

What Student Information is Needed?
