Hello Monsters!

Our rehearsals have been going very well and now we are really getting close to performance time.

So we’ve got some important reminders and updates for you.



We Are Monsters will perform on Saturday, May 18th at 11am.  The show will be at Mary Silveira School in Marinwood (San Rafael) at 375 Blackstone Dr.


9:00am: Wednesday group arrives arrives at Mary Silveira Elementary

9:15am: Monday & Saturday group arrives at at Mary Silveira Elementary

9:15-10:30am: Dress Rehearsal

10:30-11am: SNACK BREAK - please send your performer with a non-messy snack

10:45am: Doors Open for Audience

11:00am: Performance!

11:45am: Performers are excused after cleaning up


Everyone should have their lines perfectly memorized by their next rehearsal.  Please help them by rehearsing both their lines and the cue lines (the line right before theirs).

You’ll find versions with the singers and without.  If your child has any singing solos, please have them rehearse those A LOT!


Tickets can be purchased online beginning on May 13.  Here is the link: https://rhythmsperformingarts.thundertix.com.  Please note.  The link will not be working until MAY 13.  You can also purchase them on the day of the show.  or at the door on the day of the show.  We will not sell any tickets at the studio prior to day of the showcase.  General admission is $12. Children 5 and under may attend for free if they sit on a parent’s lap.  

We don’t anticipate having a problem with tickets, there are plenty of seats at Mary Silveira.  However, we appreciate if you buy your tickets early so we know how many seats to put out.  

The doors will open 15 minutes before show time; parents will not be allowed into the theater prior to doors opening, so saving seats before that time will not be allowed.

Please order by May 1st.  We are not planning on taking any orders at the show, so please order NOW if you would like them.


If you would like to volunteer to help out (with costumes, props, set, tickets, refreshments, etc.) please let us know.  We are keeping this production fairly simple, but can always use help.


Each participant should have received their show t-shirt.  If they haven’t brought theirs home yet, please ask at their next rehearsal.  We encourage them to wear these before the show to advertise their big performance! They will NOT be wearing these in the show.  


Kids should arrive in their costumes but bring a change of clothes as they will not be able to wear them home (except the pieces they will be providing).  See costume section below for details.

Every GIRL will need her own black leggings and black jazz shoes.  Every BOY will need his own black shorts or pants and black jazz shoes.  

The students playing “kids” in the show (Lucian, Payton, Ryan, Ben, Charlotte, Matthew L) have already brought it blue outfits to wear for the show which have been approved.  They do not need their own black bottoms.

We will be providing the rest of their costumes.  They will take their costumes home at one of our last rehearsals.  

We have two dress rehearsals (see schedule above).  Kids should arrive in costume for those rehearsals.

Hair should be combed and neatly pulled back from the face and makeup is up to you.
