Well done to Year 6 for completing SATs in a cool, calm manner. Everyone did their very best and we are proud of them all.

Enjoy Yenworthy and let’s hope the sun shines all week.

At the end of last week, the new updated Data Protection and Privacy policy was sent to you via ParentMail, please do read and if you have any questions please speak to Lynda.

ParentMail App

Now we have 63% of families who have downloaded  the ParentMail App.  To do this, simply search ParentMail App in the App store, it is very easy to set up but please do come and speak to Sammy in the office and she can help you.

We would like to reduce the amount in the newsletter and will be adding dates to the ‘events’ section of the app so that this will become a diary for easy reference.

Dangerous Parking

After a recent meeting with our PSCO team regarding road safety they have asked that we let all parents know the following:

Dear parents /carers,

I would like to remind those who travel by vehicle to and from school, that causing an obstruction, parking on the path or yellow zig-zags markings is a non-endorsable offence, and a fine can be issued of between £30 and £50 for each offence.

We do understand that parking can be frustrating, so would urge people who live locally to the school to walk if it is within distance, or park off a side road that is local to the school and has no restrictions.

Thames Valley Police will be keen to enforce any of the above mentioned offences should issues continue. Dangerous parking means an increased risk of accident to the children.

Please think before you park

Regards, Thames Valley Police – Didcot Neighbourhood Policing Team

If your child has a verruca, please can they wear verruca socks or have them treated correctly for swimming.

Home link worker

Matt Gavin, our Home Link Worker, will be available to speak to parents to offer advice on any concerns/parenting issues you may have from 2-3pm on a Wednesday afternoon.

Matt can give advice on helping to manage behaviour, boundaries and rules at home. If you would like to speak to him, please make a 10 minute appointment at the office.
