MCPS Parent/Guardian Accounts and Access - Getting Started
Where to Go
Parents/guardians use the activation key found on the ParentVUE activation letter to access their account. This support guide details the process.
Parents/guardians then log into ParentVUE with the username and password they created when they activated their account. Activation must first be completed in the web browser in order to use the mobile app.
Parents/guardians can view grades, schedules, access SynergyMail, and more in ParentVUE.

Parents/guardians access myMCPS Classroom (Canvas) courses as the home base for teaching and learning.

There is not a separate login screen or username/
password for parents/guardians

Clicking a link from a notification email? Make sure you are signed in to myMCPS Classroom via ParentVUE first, then return to the email to click the link.

Chromebooks are provided by the student’s school. Chromebooks in need of repair should be returned to the student’s school. Parents/guardians will receive a notice of any fee owed due to accidental or intentional damage.
