Parents/guardians use the activation key found on the ParentVUE activation letter to access their account. This support guide details the process.

Parents/guardians then log into ParentVUE with the username and password they created when they activated their account. Activation must first be completed in the web browser in order to use the mobile app.

Parents/guardians can view grades, schedules, access SynergyMail, and more in ParentVUE.

Parents/guardians access student courses at  myMCPS Classroom (Canvas)

  • When parents/guardians activate their ParentVUE account, a myMCPS Classroom Observer account is created within 24 hours.
  • Observers can view posted assignments, discussions, and other content but cannot edit or view student submissions from this account.
  • Observers can view any assignments/quizzes/discussions on the Calendar, as long as a due date is designated for the item.

Parents/guardians access myMCPS Classroom (Canvas) courses as the home base for teaching and learning.

To access:

  1. Log into ParentVUE via your web browser (not the mobile app)
  2. Click on Parent Resources
  3. Click on the myMCPS Classroom link

There is not a separate login screen or username/

password for parents/guardians

Chromebooks are provided by the student’s school. Chromebooks in need of repair should be returned to the student’s school. Parents/guardians will receive a notice of any fee owed due to accidental or intentional damage.
