Jordan Ridge Attendance Support Plan for Families

At Jordan Ridge, we care about your child’s success and know that regular school attendance is important for learning and growth. Here’s what happens if your child begins to miss school:

After 5 Days Absent (total, even if not in a row):

• Your child’s teacher will contact you to check in and offer support.
• The school office will send a letter to let you know about your child’s absences.

After 10 Days Absent (total, even if not in a row):

• You will receive an email from your child’s teacher.
• We’ll ask for some more information to help us understand how to support your child.
• The school office will send another attendance letter.
• Our counselor or school staff may reach out to set up a meeting if needed to discuss how we can help.

After 15 Days Absent (total, even if not in a row):

• You will receive another email from your child’s teacher.
• We’ll check in with you again for more information and support.
• Your child may meet with the school counselor to see what support may be needed.
• The school will send a certified letter about attendance.
• We may consider other steps, such as a meeting with the principal or, in rare cases, possible withdrawal from school.

Possible Additional Support:

• Team meetings with teachers and administrators
• Extra parent check-ins
• Other support as needed
