Here is our list of dates, correct at time of going to print, for this term. Please check your emails regularly for any updates and information.

Housekeeping Notes:

Code of Conduct:

The Cub Pack follows the Groups Code of Conduct which consist of a basic set of rules and commitments in order to create a pleasant, respectful and productive environment and to help all those involved to make the most of their time in Scouting.

This can be seen at; www.9thmuswellhill.org.uk/group/conduct-and-commitment.

These conditions of membership apply to all Scouting events including section meetings, camps and other events.

Membership and Commitment:

Members are expected to attend all regular weekly meetings. If a member is unable to attend a meeting due to illness or exceptional circumstances they should contact their section leader to let them know in advance of the meeting.

Where a member misses more than 3 meetings in a term without prior notification, their place will be forfeited and passed to the next person on the waiting list.

Membership Subscriptions are charged termly in advance, falling due a few weeks before the end of each term. Payment of these membership subscriptions confirms your space for the following term. In the event of non payment we will presume you are not returning to the Group and reallocate your space from the waiting list unless we have heard from you before the deadline date to discuss an alternative arrangement.

Uniform:

Scouting is a uniformed organisation, therefore we expect Cubs to turn up in Uniform each week. For Pack meetings this includes Cub Jumper, Scarf and Six Woggle. Alternatively a Group Polo Shirt and Hoodie may be worn along with Scarf and Six Woggle.

For outdoor meetings and events good quality outdoor footwear, a suitable coat for the weather and a fully charged
head torch will be required for all sessions.

Events:

A large number of additional camps, events and opportunities are organised for all sections. It is hoped that all members will take advantage of these.

The meeting night programme will focus on preparing for and developing the skills to make the best of these opportunities. Events may cover badge work that isn’t covered at section meetings particularly for those aspiring to achieve Challenge Badges and Chief Scout Awards.

Events are signed up for via. OSM. It is requested that Cubs respond to these invitations (even if it is a “no”) in a timely manner.
Please note that once bookings have been made these are considered final and the event fee will be charged even if the place is later cancelled.
