Kelan “Kelly” Cissell

June 3, 1958 - November 19, 2016


   The family of Kelan “Kelly” Cissell mourns his passing. Born June 3, 1958 to Harry Bernard Cissell and Joan Claire (Rasche) Cissell at Washington, Indiana. Entered Eternal Rest November 19, 2016.


   His memory will be cherished by his children, Margaret “Maggie” Cissell and Katherine “Katie” Cissell; mother, Joan Cissell; siblings, Grace Cissell, Don Cissell and his wife Linda, Lisa North and her husband Danny Kidd, Christina Pauley and her husband Kevin; several nieces and nephews.

He is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with his father, Harry Cissell.

   The Holy Spirit guided Kelly to become a funeral director, where he began taking on the mind and heart of Christ in serving families at their time of grief.

   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday November 28, 2016 by Reverend Father Daniel J. Mahan, Pastor of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Bloomington, Indiana.

   Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church, 4607 West State Road 46 Bloomington.

The Rite of Committal will immediately follow the Mass in the family plot of Salt Creek Cemetery.

   All are invited to a meal prepared by the Parish following the Committal. Memorial contributions in honor of Kelly may be directed to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.

I just learned about this two days ago. Kelly was a good friend. We worked together in Hurricane back in 2005. He will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace my friend.

To Cissell Family,

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Kelly.We so much wanted to come to the funeral but due to(Jim's) recent surgery not able to attend. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of loss. We are having the friars at the "FARM" celebrate a mass for Kelly.
