Hello and welcome to Promise Road Elementary School!

How to Display a Device in the Cafeteria

Step 1 - Locate the display on the Rack on the stage in the Cafeteria and tap the screen to open the first menu.

ENTER PASSWORD: 1234, if prompted

You will hear the screen come down. (If it doesn’t, Go to Displays, Projectors and Displays  “On”, Select Arrow for the screen to come down) (If you want to turn the TVs that are on either side of the stage on, you will do that by pressing “On” for Display A and Display B.)

Step 2 - In the Main menu you will decide if you want to use the Wallplate (HDMI Plate) to hardwire (located on the wall to the left of the stage when facing the stage, closer to the floor) or Airplay (which is the Wireless selection). *Note the speaker is highlighted white under the Wall ⅛” Source Selection. This is a good option to check if you are not hearing sound. The speaker should be selected here if you are hardwiring. If you are Airplaying, highlight the speaker under the Wireless choice. You can also use the up or down arrows located to the right of the Video Sources to adjust volume. If you choose Wireless, you will want to select the speaker source under the wireless box.

Step 3 - If you are hardwiring, plug the HDMI cable into the wall plate and Select <HDMI Plate> on the Screen.

Step 6 - Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your computer (or dongle into the computer) and your device screen should appear on the display screen

Step 7 - If you are airplaying, make sure you have selected <Wireless> on the Display Screen. (Screen Mirror, Select pr_cafe_072428, enter AirPlay Code) (When Done, select pr_cafe_072428 to disconnect)

Step 8 - When you are finished, unplug your cable if you are hardwired. If you are Airplaying, just disconnect from the display in your Screen Mirroring Preferences.  Go to Projectors and Display and push the up arrow to put the screen back up.  Press Off, to turn the projector off.

Step 9 - If you need a microphone, it is plugged into the wall outlet on the left side of the stairs. Simply turn it on with the switch on the microphone.

If you need a wireless Microphone, look in the black drawer in the rack. Look at the picture to see how to turn the Microphone on.

This is the display panel for the Microphones. If one of the Speaker options is “yellowed out” that means it is muted. If it is black, it is on.

TIPS: If speakers are not working while you are hardwired, check in the Settings option on your device. Settings>Sound>Select speakers for the rack, (not MacBook Speakers). Only select the Airplay Cafe Speakers when connected through Airplay.

Once you have gone through all of these steps and you now notice the video is playing too fast or the sound still isn’t working correctly, restart your device and when it comes back up, everything should be working correctly.

*To reset this rack there is a black cord plugged into the wall. Unplugging and plugging the cord back in will reset the rack.
