This year I got to have more experience with engineering, and problem solving. I think that it was really important to my development, because it will allow me to think faster and create better solutions to my problems in the future. I think that this class I could have done more work, but I think that this was because it wasn’t as involved as my previous experience in room 145. Engineering taught me that ‘we gonna get it done’. I think that I could have gotten more from this class than I actually did, but it was a good resource for me to change how I think in this environment. Engineering helped me to understand that I need to think more about how I am going to do something, and to plan it more first before executing a plan that I created. I think that this is going to be really helpful when I take more of Mrs. Barkers classes, because I will make smarter decisions when it comes to my projects and doing them.
Uhh supporting thesis. Point 1, I am just going to copy what I put for my original essay, and I think that Mrs. Barker is going to enjoy me sooo much more (I will actually work in other classes, because I will have things to do) in the next classes that I take. I don’t think that I really improved with my quality of product in this class, and I think that I am going to improve if I take capstone or materials and process 2. I don’t really know what else to add to this essay, but it is supposed to be three pages long so I guess I can keep going. I liked how this class not only taught me that I need to think about my projects more, but also that sometimes I wont get to work with the best people in my group, and has given me more practice with those people who don't work as hard on the project.
I think that this class has also taught me that there isn't just the product that you want to focus on, but that there are also multiple solutions to one problem, and that you can always improve on each solution. That I think was the biggest importance for this class, because of how it was set up. With everyone in different groups, everyone was going to make different projects, even though we were given the same time, constraints, and project. I liked this, because it showed me that I actually need to give some thought into a project before I try to execute it, because there are multiple ways to do one thing, and that these ways are going to be better or worse than the others. I do think that I am going to need to improve on my theoretical planning, because some of the designs that my groups did weren't the best in the class, and they could have been better.
I think that my work in this class could have been better than it was, but that was because I was more used to hands-on projects, rather than projects where I am going to have to put more thought into it beforehand. I think that this was a good reason for me to take this class, because it gave me more practice with planning stuff out, instead of just finding one way to complete a project and to have that be the only way of doing it. This is going to be really important to my development in this class/field, and others. This is because it has taught me that even if I have found a good solution, there can always be a better solution than I already have, and that if I only spend some time trying to find that solution, then I am going to have a better product in the end.
I am going to miss this class, and this is because it was one of my most fun classes this year. I think that if I were to take it again, that I would try to be more on top of all of my work, and that I would keep adding and adding onto my planning of projects. Even though I didn’t make anything significant that I could take home like in materials and processing, I did make advancements on my planning for the projects. Even though this isn’t the class that I wanted to take this year (WHYYY DID ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING HAVE TO BE CLOSEDDDD ugh) it was a good class to take for me, and what I want to go into college for.
