CALL TO ORDER
Vice-President Franklin called the meeting to order at 6:08 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Trustee Hogan made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 22, 2024 Board meeting. Trustee Reed seconded.
Roll call: 4 Ayes, 0 Nays. Motion passed.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Bill List $70,497.86
Transfer $70,497.86
Trustee Reed made a motion to approve the June bill list in the amount of $ 70,497.86
Trustee Hogan seconded. Roll call: 4 Ayes, 0 Nays. Motion passed.
Truste Hogan made a motion to accept the transfer of $70,497.86 from the money market to the operating account. Trustee Reed seconded.

BOARD PRESIDENT’S REPORT
President Timpton is absent and has no report.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Director Beyer has no report.
OLD BUSINESS
Director Beyer stated that Policy 305 must be amended to Computer and Internet Use Safety policy in order to be compliant with E-rate eligibility. Public Libraries must have protection measures in place to prevent illegal content from being able to be viewed.
Trustee Hogan made a motion to accept the amendment to Policy 305: Computer and Internet Use and Safety policy. Trustee Montgomery seconded.

NEW BUSINESS
Director Beyer informed the Board that the next bond payment is due July 1, 2024. The Bank of New York account has sufficient funds to make this payment. The last bond payment is scheduled for January 1, 2025.
Director Beyer informed the Board that the Library is awarded Per Capita, Construction, and Technology grants. Director Beyer also shared that she and Assistant Director Henderson are always looking for new grants. Treasurer Montgomery asked if any grants were renewable. Director Beyer clarified that these grants are one-time grants. Vice-President Franklin expressed her thanks for the hard work of the Administration on these grants.

Treasurer Mongtomery made a motion to go into Executive Session at 6:23 p.m. for personnel.

Treasurer Montgomery made a motion to add the personnel matter at hand to the Agenda of the July 24, 2024 Board meeting. Trustee Hogan seconded.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR REPORT
Assistant Director Henderson reviewed details of the upcoming ALA Conference, which she and Trustees will attend. Treasurer Montgomery complimented Assisted Director Henderson on the luncheon cruise which she worked hard to arrange.
ALDERMANIC REPORT
Alderwoman McDowell announced that fireworks are illegal with ticket fines up to $1,000. She also shared the deadline of July 15, 2024 to submit an application for Hometown Heroes. Military photos of Markham residents may be submitted to be put on display. Alderwoman also thanked Assistant Director Henderson for her outstanding work to put together the luncheon cruise. Everyone greatly enjoyed this event.
