Proudly recognizes our Senior Class of 2022!

Congratulations to Kora Wiedmaier!

What is a favorite memory from this year in EDGE?

There are many small moments I can point to and all of them tend to have the same thing, bonding with my EDGE teachers. Creating these connections with my educators has been incredibly rewarding. Making them not just my teachers, but people I would consider friends in a way.

How has the EDGE experience prepared you for life after high school?

The EDGE experience has definitely prepared me for life after high school by allowing me to develop much needed time management and organization skills. I have always struggled with both of these things however, now after being in EDGE I have found a system that works for me. This is largely because EDGE presents itself as a safe place to explore different methods and skills with teachers who actually support you. TIme management and organization are a huge part of what you need to be successful in EDGE, and developing these skills is truly one of my greatest accomplishments of this year.

What is the focus of your EDGE senior capstone?

The focus of my EDGE senior capstone project is littering. Specifically, littering that occurs within LHS.

What advice do you have for incoming EDGE students?

My advice for incoming EDGE students is to be flexible and look at the bigger picture. EDGE is an amazing program and it's often unpredictable, and while yes, sometimes that can be frustrating, taking a moment to view all perspectives (a skill all EDGE students should learn) and to look at the bigger picture helps to remind you why you're here and why this program works. Never take for granted the EDGE environment, as it is truly unique and you will never experience anything like it again in your schooling career.

What college/work experience are you attending after high school?

Truman State University

What will be your area of study/specialty?

A major in History with a minor in Education and English.
