Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park Continue

The Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park series continues this week with two great blues-inspired performers: Pete “Big Dog” Fetters and Keith Scott Blues. As always, the free concerts begin at noon in the gazebo at Petoskey’s Pennsylvania Park. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, or enjoy the music from the benches provided.

The week starts on Wednesday, July 3 with Pete “Big Dog” Fetters. Fetters hails from Boyne City and is an American music singer, guitarist, and harmonica player. A Michigan State University alum and former collegiate swim coach, Fetters found himself drawn to music and Northern Michigan, where he has been able to pursue his passion. His special blend of jazz, blues, country, and other early 20th century Americana is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

The week concludes on Friday, July 5 with Keith Scott Blues. Scott is a celebrated blues and rock musician with over 30 years of practice in his craft. He chased his musical dreams in Chicago where he jammed with blues legends Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, James Cotton, and Little Milton. These days, music enthusiasts can catch Scott playing at House of Blues, Hard Rock Café, and various U.S. and Canadian music festivals.

Each Concert in the Park is held at noon, at the gazebo in Petoskey’s Pennsylvania Park. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at Crooked Tree Arts Center.

The Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park are made possible by the generous support of local sponsors: Petoskey’s Downtown Management Board, Petoskey Area Visitors Bureau, Sturgeon River Pottery, the Petoskey Chamber of Commerce, Great Lakes Energy, Blissfest Music Organization, Flowers from Sky’s the Limit, and Meyer Ace Hardware.
