Newsletter/Website- Rachel Grabowski-

~Keep updating, keep encouraging/reminding members to visit the site and check email. Discussion on app that can track clicks on website and such

Membership-Kim Marfy-Ohio Student Education Assoc-ONE is covering cost of membership-be sure all student teachers and field experience students are contacting our ONE member Ambassador to get their free membership which ensures all OEA benefits plus a $1 million insurance policy.

Public Relations -Need a person, put in newsletter

Negotiations- Wendy Benton-Team will have organization meeting soon TBD

FCPE-Need to host a social/fundraiser. Also, some members aren’t getting their regular donations withdrawn from their pay.

Crestwood ONE-Rachel Grabowski-Rachel needs seniority list to communicate with our 0-10 Years experience members. Also will share out the tinyurl for events. Planning a social for Crestwood ONE.

V.  Old BusinessSkipped and moved on to new business

Delegates- names by September 18, (can send 2 to OEA and up to 4 to NEOEA) must be on ballot to attend

Member roster and emails- send to Kim

Technology use- use caution, reread before sending, etc, personal devices can be subject to investigation, do NOT use school email for personal business this includes emailing your child’s teachers

Coffee day-Lots of coffee left over, we can order less moving forward

VI. Current Business        

TShirt Contest Update-Eddie is to resend in a google format for the execs to vote on top 3. Eddie will speak to those 3 candidates about needed edits to their designs to ensure they follow the guidelines. Then Eddie will send out to the members to vote. 

True Colors Training-Wendy Benton-LRC John Avouris has invited our exec board (all members including reps) to join the True Colors training December 17th at the Reed Memorial Library. We plan on hosting a follow up retreat. Attendance is strongly encouraged. This will help build strength in our leadership!   

Mark Calendars for: December 7-Fall OEA RA, February 24th-Legislative Receptions, March 7th-Megaconference

Grievance Update:Going to level 3 exec session for IXL/Edulastic. Wendy, Eddie, and Rachel met with LRC John Avouris in preparation for exec session. Grievence Level 2 on DLT pay-Denied by Toth. Reminder to our members to NOT VOLUNTEER for activities like such that will have an overall effect on our members 

CEA PD-Rachel suggested we host some PD for our members based on survey and word of mouth.

Survey-Lack of responses. Encourage our members to complete so we can take action for our members.
