Attention Seniors: Anyone who ordered Senior Class apparel in September should pick it up at the booth in the gym lobby during periods 4,5,6, or 7 Today or Thursday! Try to have your order confirmation email handy.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: If you stay after school for an activity, club or sport, you must have a bus pass from your advisor, teacher or coach to ride the late bus. You will not be allowed on the late bus without a pass. The only reason any student should be on campus after 2:25 is if they are at a club meeting, activity or sport.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS Wappingers Continuing Ed will be offering a FREE seminar entitled ADMISSIONS 101. This seminar is for parents and students alike and will cover the admissions process including SAT vs ACT, how to evaluate a college, what to ask on a campus tour, how colleges evaluate a student, and what financial aid really means to a family, including how it's determined and what types are available. The seminar will be TONIGHT, 10/9 from 6:30-8:00 pm at John Jay HS. The seminar is FREE but you must pre-register. To register, call 298-5000, ext. 40137.

ATTENTION CLASS OF 2025 - SENIOR PORTRAITS ARE HAPPENING: Seniors, make sure you schedule your senior portrait. The dates that are left are: September 9-13, October 9-11, October 28 - November 1, and November 12-19. You will only be able to schedule for the dates of September 9 - 13. Do not miss out AND do not wait until the last minute to take your Senior Portrait, you may not get an appointment. If you don't take a senior portrait, you will not be in the Yearbook and you will not be able to submit a quote. ALL DATES ARE FINAL. If you order your yearbook before October 25, 2024 with personalization, you can get up to 4 free icons. In order to ensure that we can add as much content and make it more valuable, yearbooks will not be delivered in the Spring but will be shipped individually in August to your home. Athletes of the Week 9/30/24 - 10/6/24
Armando Blau, Soccer - Senior Forward, scored a goal and assisted on another leading boys soccer over Mahopac 3-1. He also provided unbelievable defensive pressure for the entire match in the attacking third.
Averie Carpenter - Cross Country - (9th) - The only John Jay Girl to hit a PR this weekend at the Brewster Bear Classic. She improved her time from last week by almost a minute. 27:14
Bella Ciraco, Tennis sophomore - won her first 2 varsity matches. She played third singles and won a thrilling match vs Scarsdale in a third set super tiebreak and also had a dominating win against FDR on Friday.

volleyball - from RCK - recorded 11 Kills and 5 Digs in Saturday's Pink Out Game, beating Eastchester 3 Sets to 1.
Ava Jordan, Soccer - senior striker scored 3 had an assist to Nico Cuba in a 4-1 win over Carmel High School.
Matt Patridge, Football - unselfishly made the switch from quarterback to running back and responded with a great game. Matt rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown vs Suffern.
Olivia Sangulin, Volleyball - senior was 32 for 32 serving with 5 aces over three matches this week. 100% serving average to help the Varsity continue its undefeated season.

The Boys Lacrosse Team
Is looking to fill a few positions on our team, in a non-playing capacity. We are interested in having 2 students learn and help us keep track of our sports book (statistics) on the sideline, as well as 2 students to help us take photo and video for the games. This position needs to be filled for both JV and Varsity. This would be for our upcoming 2025 Spring season. You would be a part of our team, travel with the team on the bus, and get a team shirt.
