Case Study Guidelines
For companies pledging less than 1Mn USD or over 1Mn USD, there is an opportunity to submit case studies of select projects. Please take a look at the previous stories showcased on the ZHP website here.
To capture information for the case studies, we will be using the Most Significant Change approach. Please use the prompts below. While not all of the prompts are necessary, they may be useful in structuring your project narrative.
- Why did your company pledge
- What is your company’s interest in food security
- The title or headline of the case study or story of change.
- The purpose and objective of documenting the case study or story of change.
- The core messages and key takeaways from the case study or story of change.
- The type or category of the case study or story of change (e.g., best practice, illustrative, comparative).
- The Situation (Before the Change)
- The context and conditions before the activity or change took place.
- The specific challenges faced by the project, program, or organization.
- The individuals, groups, or organizations impacted (or potentially impacted) by the initiative.
- The goals of the project or program and the actions undertaken to achieve them.
- The Change(s) That Occurred
- The specific changes that have taken place (if any).
- Whether these changes were anticipated or unexpected, and whether they were positive or negative.
- Concrete and measurable impacts on people’s lives.
- Key expected changes that did not materialize.
- Evidence demonstrating the changes that have (or have not) occurred.
- The overall significance of the changes or activities implemented.
- Possible long-term impacts on individuals, organizations, or policies.
- The likelihood of sustaining these changes over time.
- The key factors that contributed to the changes.
- An assessment of how the changes can be linked to the project, program, or organization’s efforts.
- Other external factors or influences that may have played a role in driving these changes.
- Lessons Learned & Recommendations
- Possible adjustments to the intervention design that could enhance effectiveness.
- Insights for other organizations working in similar fields.
- Relevant photographs illustrating the activities or changes.
- Videos or media links that can be embedded in the case study.
- Direct quotes or testimonials to add emotional depth and bring the story of change to life.
