Dear Parents,

I was blown away by your participation in the Frozen Food Fundraiser! Thank you again for supporting our class and our school. I am still looking for volunteers who are willing to separate the Frozen Food orders on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Please email me if you are able to help out.  We sure would appreciate it!

With the cooler weather upon us, the jackets and sweaters are out.  Please label your child’s outwear with his/her name as so many of them are similar (lots of navy blue) and the children don’t always recognize theirs.   Also, for parents of girls: if your girl wears a dress or skirt, be sure she also wears shorts underneath.  Bike shorts work really well.  Thank you!

Our first Field Trip will be held on Friday, October 20th. We will be visiting the Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Carmichael. In order to make it to our reserved tour time we will be leaving campus by 8:45 am. We will be returning to campus at approximately 11:30 am. The students are expected to remain in school for the remainder of the day as we will continue school work when we return to campus. Students will still need a packed lunch for the field trip day because they will be eating lunch on campus at their regular time.

Parent Teacher Conferences are fast approaching! Here is a link for a conference sign-up form [LINK]. Please click on the link to access the form and sign up for a time that is best for you. The conferences will be held on October 26th and October 27th. These sign-ups will be on a first come, first served basis. Conferences are mandatory and first quarter report cards will be passed out during conferences.

Please note that October 26th is a minimum day with dismissal at 12:00 pm and there will be no school on October 27th. Daycare is available on October 27th and 28th.

Thank you for all that you do! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me!

God Bless,

Mrs. Clevenger and Mrs. Yacub
