What are drylands? Drylands are a land that is low on rain and where animals live such as Lizards and Invertebrates. It is also a habitat to birds like banded dotterels, pipit, black-fronted terns.

They are also home to many threatened and rare species. Did you know that drylands cover more than 19 per cent of New Zealand's land area?
