The playwright, Yolanda Mendiveles

“This Christmas play comes from my own family experience. And, like many others during this time we faced many challenges trying to make ends meet. However, despite any challenges we with the help of our neighbors, our extended families created magic so that the all could celebrate on Christmas Day. And, most of all it’s the love we have for one another that still fills the story then and now. “

Born and raised in East Los Angeles, and now resides in Orange County, Yolanda is a writer, a Breath of Fire ensemble member, a professional massage therapist, a beloved mom, and grandma.

This Staged Reading event is made possible by Breath of Fire’s commitment to its quality programming, while supporting the community’s playwrights and theater-makers.
