Do you watch college basketball?  I don’t, because I don’t like how sports and politics have gotten mixed together.  When Colin Kaepernick and other National Football League players started kneeling for the National Anthem, I stopped watching sports.  

Anyway, currently, two tournaments are going on in men’s and women’s college basketball.  The men have the NCAA Tournament, while the women have the NIT Tournament.  The men do play in the NIT Tournament and the women play in the NIT Tournament, but right ow, the women are playing in the NIT Tournament.  

Last week on the women's side, Memphis University played Bowling Green University.  Normally when basketball games are over, the players line up, walk past each other, and shake each other’s hands.  One memphis player punched an opponent in the face.  The opponent’s eye swelled.  After an investigation, the Memphis player was charged with assault.  

That Memphis player might want to try to look for a job after she graduates.  Now companies might not hire her.  Now that player is a criminal.  If she planned to try out for the Women’s National Basketball Association after she graduated, she might be able to join a team, but a company might not hire her for a real job.
